Picked up a Siren Floral Co mini succulent at the Shop Glee holiday pop-up shop in Encinitas…
…and made a half day out of it by lunching in surf-happy Encinitas and stopping by Leucadia State Beach next door. Impeccable weather.
After my four-day cleanse, I’ve been easing back into my regular diet, but after a week-long cold weather spell (a.k.a. 40-50 degrees at night), all I wanted was some hot chocolate. And as much as I have a soft spot for the instant kind with mini marshmallows, I’ve been making an effort to avoid the fake stuff. Extraordinary Desserts to the rescue!
The new rug is offering a lot of opportunities to snuggle. I hate how childish “snuggle” sounds, but there’s no better word for cozying up to a warm, fluffy puppy like Teddy.
South Indian dinner at Chennai Tiffins. I got the tomato, onion, chili uttapam (think savory pancake).
Oh, and we had a slumber party in the living room. Teddy usually sleeps in his crate, but we experimented with all of us sleeping out in the open. I thought he’d take advantage of our being there and signal a bathroom visit every hour, but he was pretty spectacular. He spent most of the night by my side — sometimes with his head on my thigh or paw in my face. Since he’s not allowed in bed, this is the next best thing. And it was awesome. Same time next week me thinks.
