Hang in there girl! You are doing amazing things. I could have written this exact post. I remember the puppy days too. I remember a friend of mine picked me up to go out one time and I started crying because I didn’t realize how hard having a puppy would be. Now I have all these same sort of struggles taking care of my toddler while working from home. We really need to go grab a cup of coffee soon and catch up!

Hang in there! I agree though – working from home sounds a lot better in theory than the reality, which involves spending a lot of time all alone in front of a computer. But, on the positive side, it is nice not to commute and to “go to work” in yoga pants (at least for me :-))!

Just came across your blog and it’s such a refreshing read! As someone who also works from home I completely understand where you’re coming from. There are tons of easy distractions and it can definitely be hard to meet new people. One of my good friends just moved there and she raves about San Diego!

I totally agree! I used to compare myself a lot and sometimes even now — though I very well know what the real deal is — I get caught in the comparison trap. I think it’s good to be honest every once in a while. We’re all real people with real day-to-day problems, and readers should know that, just like you say!

Before I started a blog I always used to compare myself to bloggers who seemed to have perfect lives – now I feel as though I’m the one projecting that “perfect” ideal! It’s a great idea to have a post like this once in a while, to show readers there’s a real person with real daily problems or imperfections behind the face of the blog.

So glad I’m not alone out there in the freelancer abyss. As for the dog, I know plenty of people who raise dogs by themselves, but it’s totally perplexing how they do it. I personally need help. But if you’re itching for a dog now, I hear that if you get an older dog (probably older than 1), he/she will be a LOT less work. Puppyhood is the hardest stage!

Oh how I could trade stories with you! You’re definitely not the only blogger/writer/freelancer out there who feels like this! And what you said about Teddy is why my husband and I have yet to get a dog: I’d be the one taking care of him all the time. Chin up :)
